Our theme of the week in class was “abandoned” or “stranded.” In other words, we were set out to capture emotion. This was one of the pictures I ended up taking. Chris and I went downtown to an antique store, and I was hoping for a visibly old doll, but this porcelain stood out to me the most. She seemed to represent my own childhood which is now behind me.
Taken with the D3000 (nikon digital) BUT I also got her in film. I”ll post those soon.
Definitely captures emotion. We would welcome this shot or some of your other photography work to our online gallery If you’re a match for our group. We’d be happy to get a submission from you. Check it out and let me know.

How sad. The doll just wants to be loved. You captured it well. Virginia
