Part of being a photographer is learning new tricks. This is the most recent magic act we were taught in our digital photography class. I set the camera’s shutter speed and let it choose the aperture, and then I set it up on a tripod. The key is to keep your see-through subject of choice in the frame for only half of the exposure. I’ve done this involuntarily before, but now I know how it’s done the right way.
