If you’ve been following Eccentric Chai from the very beginning, then the picture on the left might look a little bit like old news. It’s from the chai cup’s first photoshoot.

When I first started the blog, I wasn’t aware that in less than a month I’d have over sixty followers. Being an amateur blogger, I’m not even sure if that’s good, but it sure beats zero.
Throughout the past several weeks, I’ve blogged endlessly on Salinger, analyzed The Hunger Games movie, and have expressed my deepest desire to own a robot. I’ve learned that the posts I despise end up becoming the favorites, and the posts I love get those “eh” reviews that drive writers to shaking their fist in the rain.
But to put the cherry on the sweet chai sundae, it seems that I’ve been inspiring others to re-rev their own kicks. Since the start of Eccentric Chai, two of my family members have also decided to start their own little corner on wordpress. To me, that’s way cooler than the day I reached 128 views.
So I figured they could use a little boostin’ and a little stage-lightin’

Baking Memories
This blog was started recently by my sister-in-law, who shares my love of books, and my hatred toward directors who slaughter them. Aside from being a huge Harry Potter fan, my SIL is a cake-tastic baker who rocks at turning fondant to art. She recently started this blog to express her love of cake making and has filled it with how-to’s (complete with visual steps) just in case you’re looking to create the same tasty effects for your next birthday.
Her recent posts have included Spring Baking and those awesome poppin’ Cake Balls!

Speed Limit Anarchy
This blog was started by my dad, who’s always kept me writing writing writing writing (did I say writing?). He recently started this little bit to have somewhere to post his “scribbles from the void” and I’d be lying if I told you I wasn’t intimidated. His screenplays and NANO novels make The Hunger Games look like a children’s book (hardy har). I’m seriously looking forward to this follow.
His recent post is an introduction of the blog. See it here –> The Name…
And now I leave you with five dead guys who keep me alive:
Bobby Darin
Like Sinatra…only better.

Stan Getz
Smooth grooved.

Dizzy Gillespie
A trumpet-playing machine.

George Gershwin
Keyed Beast.

John Coltrane
Jazz-tastic.
